Flaming River has introduced a complete bolt-in power steering system (FR1561KT) for the Gen II 1970-82 Chevrolet Camaros with small and big block engines.

The system is designed for 1970 to 1982 Camaros with original or retrofit engines and contains all the required elements to update the stock steering system to the current, state of the art power steering box technologies.

The system includes the FR1561 TryV™ Power steering box (14:1 ratio), the Flaming River variable pressure steering pump, power steering reservoir with billet aluminum mounts, a custom length EZ-Fit steering shaft and the braided stainless steel hoses.

The complete system weighs 23 pounds, resulting in 6 lbs. of weight savings. Additionally, the system is more compact, resulting in increased clearance. The TryV steering box’s rack & pinion type valving provides better steering response and improved handling over the original GM steering box.

The EZ-Fit shaft improves steering comfort by reducing road and chassis flex vibration.
